Holy Cross Profile – Our First 'Fourth Week' People Feature

Learning about members of our parish

Earlier this month, Holy Cross Faith Formation – led by Jeanetta Thompson - hosted the HBCU College Fair, a panel discussion for parents and youth, focusing on college and career planning. It was well attended with good conversation on a wide range of academic and career topics.

Building on that, Holy Cross communications has launched this Fourth Week People Feature showcasing how our parishioners are applying their knowledge and talents to start businesses, build careers, and serve the community. The plan is to post a feature about one of our young adults, more senior adults and youth who are doing something extraordinary with their time and talent.

First up is Allison Mathews, an entrepreneur - her startup is Community Expert Solutions. She also is a member of the Holy Cross Young Adult Group. Allison and her friend Kimberly Knight, founder of The Lux Blog NC and The Lux PR Agency, tell their stories in this video. Included is information about an upcoming workshop with presenters Jessica Thomas, director of the Business Sustainability Collaborative at the NC State Poole College of Management and Kimberly Knight.
